2 Star of hope! gleam on the billow,
Bless the soul that sighs for thee;
Bless the sailor's lonely pillow,
Far, far at sea.

3 Star of faith! when winds are mocking
All his toil, he flies to thee;
Save him on the billows rocking,
Far, far at sea.

4 Star divine! oh, safely guide him,-
Bring the wanderer home to thee!
Sore temptations long have tried him,
Far, far at sea.

COM

NEW YEAR.

YOME, let us anew our journey pursue-
Roll round with the year,

And never stand still till the Master appear;
His adorable will let us gladly fulfill,

And our talents improve

10s & 5s.

By the patience of hope, and the labor of love.

2 Our life is a dream; our time, as a stream,
Glides swiftly away,

And the fugitive moment refuses to stay:
The arrow is flown: the moment is gone;
The millennial year

Rushes on to our view, and eternity's near.

3 Oh, that each, in the day of His coming, may say, "I have fought my way through;

I have finished the work thou didst give me to do;" Oh, that each from his Lord may receive the glad word,

"Well and faithfully done!

Enter into my joy, and sit down on my throne!”

PARTING HYMN.

WHEN shall we meet again,

Meet ne'er to sever?

When will peace wreathe her chain

Round us forever?

Our hearts will ne'er repose,

Safe from each blast that blows,
In this dark vale of woes,
Never-no, never!

2 When shall love freely flow
Pure as life's river?

When shall sweet friendship glow
Changeless forever?

Where joys celestial thrill,

Where bliss each heart shall fill,
And fears of parting chill
Never-no, never!

3 Up to that world of light
Take us, dear Saviour!

May we all there unite,
Happy forever;

Where kindred spirits dwell,
There may our music swell,
And time our joys dispel
Never-no, never!

4 Soon shall we meet again,

Meet ne'er to sever;

Soon shall peace wreathe her chain

Round us forever;

Our hearts will then repose,

Secure from worldly woes;

Our songs of praise shall close

Never-no, never!

6s & 5s.

Dorologies.

O God the Father, God the Son,
And God the Spirit, three in one,
Be honor, praise, and glory given,
By all on earth, and all in heaven.

TERNAL Father! throned above,

ΕΤΕ
E hon fountain of redeeming love!

Eternal Word! who left thy throne
For man's rebellion to atone ;
Eternal Spirit, who dost give
That grace whereby our spirits live:
Thou God of our salvation, be
Eternal praises paid to thee!

TO Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,

One God, whom we adore,

Be glory as it was, is now,

And shall be evermore.

Who calls our souls from death,
Who saves by his redeeming word

And Spirit all-divine,

SING we to our God above

Praise eternal as his love;

Praise him, all ye heavenly host-
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

PR

RAISE the name of God most high,
Praise him, all below the sky,
Praise him, all ye heavenly host,
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost;
As through countless ages past,
Evermore his praise shall last.

O Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
Be praise amid the heavenly host,
And in the church below;

From whom all creatures draw their breath,
By whom redemption blessed the earth,
From whom all comforts flow.

RAISE the Father, earth and heaven,
Praise the Son, the Spirit praise,

As it was, and is, be given,

Glory through eternal days.

RAISE the God of all creation;

PRAIS

Praise the Father's boundless love:

Praise the Lamb, our expiation,

Priest and King enthroned above:

Praise the Fountain of salvation,
Him by whom our spirits live:
Undivided adoration

To the one Jehovah give.
