REVIEW.

VOL. XX.

New Series.

VOL. XI.

BOSTON,

PUBLISHED BY CUMMINGS, HILLIARD AND CO.

1825.

Press of the North American Review.

I. R. BUTTS, PRINTER.

THE NORTH AMERICAN REVIEW, from the date of the present Number, will be published by CUMMINGS, HILLIARD & Co. BOSTON, FOR THE PROPRIETOR.

Subscribers are reminded, that subscriptions for the year become due on the publication of the second Number for that year. In other words, every subscriber is expected to pay one half in advance yearly. Should arrearages for more than one year occur, it will be adopted as a general rule, to discontinue the work till payment shall be made. As the circulation is extensive, and the subscribers are scattered throughout all parts of the United States, some such rule is necessary to secure prompt payments, and enable the proprietor seasonably to meet the current expenses of the work.

As new arrangements are now formed, in regard to the mode of publication, subscribers will perceive the necessity of making immediate remittances to the amount of what is due up to the present date. AGENTS are likewise requested to do the same, where there is a balance due from them.

All communications pertaining to the work, whether from subscribers, agents, or other persons, are hereafter to be sent, and all remittances made, to JARED SPARKS, PROPRIETOR OF THE NORTH AMERICAN REVIEW.

Boston, Jan. 1, 1825.
