DAYS OF JUDGMENT AND YEARS OF PEACE; OR, The Great Battle and the Coming Kingdom. BY REV. R. HAMILTON, OF THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, FITZROY, MELBOURNE. "Behold He cometh with clouds, and every eye shall see Him, JAMES NISBET & CO., 21 BERNERS STREET. M. L. HUTCHINSON, MELBOURNE. MDCCCLXXIX. 141. m. 17 PREFATORY NOTE. THE Author of this work is too well known to need any introduction in Melbourne and the Colony of Victoria, where he has been for many years a useful and respected minister of the Presbyterian Church. But, fearing lest, his name being as yet unknown to the religious reading public in the Home Country, this his first venture as an Author might receive less than justice, he has modestly desired me to bespeak for its merits a candid consideration. For the views advanced in this Volume I am not to be regarded as in any sense responsible, since I have had no opportunity of seeing the sheets as they passed through the press. But they give the results of prolonged study by one whom I know to have served the cause of the Gospel long and well, and whose approved Christian character recently won for him, at the hands of his brethren in his own Church, the highest ecclesiastical honour which a Presbyterian minister can hope to deserve.
