MANY books have been written about Heaven, and still the great theme is not exhausted. For it is a matter which so closely concerns us all, that we can scarcely pay it too much attention. There are indeed some who almost shrink from seeing the topic handled. “The Bible tells us so little,” they say. So little, certainly, as to leave wide fields for conjecture,—yet so much that few of even earnest Bible-students ever grasp the whole. That little or that much it has been my aim to bring forward, so far as might be, in this volume, grouped under different headings.
