Yr Epistol. 1 Cor. x. 1. fynnwn i chwi fod heb wybod, frodyr, fod ein tadau oll tan y cwmmwl, a'u myned oll trwy y môr; a'u bedyddio hwy oll i Moses yn y cwmmwl, ad yn y môr; a bwytta o bawb o honynt yr un bwyd ysprydol, ac yfed o bawb o honynt yr un ddïod ysprydol (canys hwy a yfasant or Graig ysprydol a oedd yn canlyn: a'r Craig oedd Crist) Eithr ni bu Duw foddlawn i'r rhan fwyaf o honynt: canys cwympwyd hwynt yn yr anialwch. A'r pethau hyn a wnaed yn siamplau i ni, fel na chwennychem ddrygioni, megis ag y chwennychasant hwy. Ac na fyddwch eilun-addolwŷr, megis rhai o honynt hwy: fel y mae yn ysgrifenedig, Eisteddodd bobl i fwytta ac i yfed, ac a gyfodasant i chwareu. Ac na odinebwn, fel y godinebodd rhai o honynt hwy, ac syrthiodd mewn un dydd dair mîl ar hugain. Ac na themtiwn Grist, megis ag y temtiodd rhai o honynt hwy, ac a'u distrywiwyd gan seirph. Ac na rwgnechwch, megis y grwgnachodd rhai o honynt hwy, ac a'u distrywiwyd gan y dinystrydd. A'r pethau hyn oll a ddigwyddasant yn siamplau iddynt hwy ac a 'sgrifenwyd yn rhybudd ninnau, ar y rhai y daeth terfynau yr oesoedd. Am hynny

The Collect.

GRANT to us, Lord, we be-
seech thee, the spirit to
think and do always such things
as be rightful; that we, who
cannot do any thing that is
good without thee, may by thee
be enabled to live according to
thy will; through Jesus Christ

The Epistle. 1 Cor. x. 1.

that BRETHREN, I would not ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; and were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud, and in the sea; and did all eat the same spiritual meat, and did all drink the same spiritual drink: (for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them; and that Rock was Christ.) But with many of them God was not well pleased; for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. Wherefore let

Ac efe a'i galwodd ef, ac a ddywedodd wrtho, Pa beth yw hyn yr wyf yn ei glywed am danat? dyro gyfrif o'th oruchwyliaeth: canys ni elli fod mwy yn oruchwyliwr. A'r goruchwyliwr a ddywedodd ynddo ei hun, Pa beth a wnaf? canys y mae fy arglwydd yn dwyn yr oruchwyliaeth oddiarnaf: cloddio nis gallaf, a chardotta sydd gywilyddus gennyf. Mi a wn beth a wnaf, fel, pan y'm bwrier allan o'r oruchwyliaeth, y derbyniont fi i'w tai. Ac wedi iddo alw atto bob un o ddyledwŷr ei arglwydd, efe a ddywedodd wrth y cyntaf, Pa faint sydd arnat ti o ddyled i'm harglwydd? Ac efe a ddywedodd, Can mesur o olew. Ac efe a ddywedodd wrtho, Cymmer dy'sgrifen, ac eistedd ar frys, a 'sgrifena ddeg a deugain. Yna y dywedodd wrth un arall, A pha faint o ddyled sydd arnat tithau? Ac efe a ddywedodd, Can mesur o wenith. Ac efe a ddywedodd wrtho, Cymmer dyʼsgrifen, a 'sgrifena bedwar ugain. him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. There hath no temptation taken you, but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

The Gospel. St. Luke xvi. 1.

Jples, There was a certain

ESUS said unto his disci

rich man which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? Give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig, to beg I am ashamed. I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses. So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord? And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty. Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore. And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light. And I say unto you, Make to yourselves

Yr Epistol. 1 Cor. xii. 1. M ysprydol ddoniau, frodyr, ni fynnwn i chwi fod heb wybod. Chwi a wyddoch mai Cenhedloedd oeddych, yn eich arwain ymaith at yr eilunod mudion, fel y'ch tywysid. Am hynny yr wyf yn hyspysu i chwi, nad oes neb yn llefaru trwy Yspryd Duw, yn galw yr Iesu yn ysgymmunbeth; ac na all neb ddywedyd, Yr Arglwydd Iesu, eithr trwy yr Yspryd Glân. Ac y mae amryw ddoniau, eithr yr un Yspryd. Ac y mae amryw weinidogaethau, eithr yr un Árglwydd. Ac y mae amryw weithrediadau, ond yr un yw Duw, yr hwn sydd yn gweithredu pob peth ym mhawb. Eithr eglurhâd yr Yspryd a roddir i bob un er llesâd. Canys i un trwy yr Yspryd y rhoddir ymadrodd doethineb; ac i arall, ymadrodd gwybodaeth, trwy yr un Yspryd; ac i arall, ffydd, trwy yr un Yspryd; ac i arall, ddawn i iachau, trwy yr un Yspryd; ac i arall, wneuthur gwyrthiau; ac i arall, brophwydoliaeth; ac i arall, wahaniaeth ysprydoedd; ac i arall, amryw dafodau; ac i arall, gyfieithiad tafodau. A'r holl bethau hyn y mae'r un a'r unrhyw Yspryd yn

The Epistle. 1 Cor. xii. 1. CONCERNING spiritual gifts, brethren, I would no have you ignorant. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed; and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God, who worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues. But all these worketh that one and

The Gospel. St. Luke xix. 41. ND when he was come near,

he beheld the city, and wept over it, saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, and shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation. And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought, saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves. And he taught daily in the temple.

Canys mi a draddodais i chwi ar y cyntaf, yr hyn hefyd a dderbyniais, farw o Grist tros ein pechodau ni, yn ol yr ysgrythyrau; a'i gladdu; a'i gyfodi y trydydd dydd, yn ol yr ysgrythyrau; a'i weled ef gan Cephas, yna gan y deuddeg. Wedi hynny y gwelwyd ef gan fwy nâ phum cant brodyr ar unwaith, o'r rhai y mae y rhan fwyaf yn aros hyd yr awrhon; eithr rhai a hunasant. Wedi hynny y gwelwyd ef gan Iago; yna gan yr holl apostolion: ac yn ddiweddaf oll y gwelwyd ef gennyf finnau hefyd, megis gan un annhymmig. Canys myfi yw'r lleiaf o'r apostolion, yr hwn nid wyf addas i'm galw yn apostol; am i mi erlid eglwys Duw. Eithr trwy râs Duw yr ydwyf yr hyn ydwyf: a'i râs ef, yr hwn a roddwyd i mi, ni bu yn ofer; ond mi a lafuriais yn helaethach ná hwynt oll; ac nid myfi chwaith, ond grâs Duw yr hwn oedd gydâ mi. saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all, that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures; and that he was buried; and that he rose again the third day, according to the Scriptures; and that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: after that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present; but some are fallen asleep: after that, he was seen of James; then of all the Apostles and last of all, he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. For I am` the least of the Apostles, that am not meet to be called an Apostle, because I persecuted the Church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all; yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed. The Gospel. St. Luke xviii. 9.

ESUS spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a Publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this Publican: I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the Publican, standing afar off, would
