ANOTHER number of this little ANNUAL is presented to its readers. May it please the Lord to grant his blessing, that it may prove a MONITOR to many!

A grateful acknowledgment is again due to all who have so kindly contributed materials, or in other ways lent their aid to the work. As

"The lightning's flash did not create

The opening prospect it reveal'd;

But only shew'd the real state

Of what the darkness had conceal'd;"

so it is interesting to see thus brought to light, even a little of what is really passing amongst us-in the hearts of individuals, in the family circle, in connexion with some of our public Institutions, and in the Church. These simple records continue to bear testimony to the vitality
