Cowley's summary of Wooduff's 7000 pages of journals provides a fascinating insight into the world and deeds of this President of the Church. The earlier part of the book, filled with accounts of the early ministry of Wilford Woodruff, is inspirational and entertaining. This is an important secondary source for any historically minded reader.
