And GOD made two great lights; the great-er light to rule the day, and the less-er light to rule the night. He made the stars al-so: and GOD saw that it was good. And GOD said, let the earth bring forth the liv-ing crea-ture after his kind: the beast of the earth af-ter his kind, and cat-tle af ter their kind, and ev-e-ry thing that creep-eth up-on the earth after his kind; and GOD saw that it was good. 17. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our like-ness; and let them have domin-ion o-ver the fish of the sea, and o-ver the fowl of the air, and o-ver the cat-tle, and o-ver all the earth, and o-ver ev-e-ry creep-ing thing that creep-eth up-on the earth. And the LORD GOD plant-ed a gar-den eastward in E-den; and there put the man he had formed to dress it and to keep it. 23. And the LORD GOD said, It is not good for man to be a-lone; I will make him an help meet for him. 24. And the LORD caus-ed a deep sleep to fall up-on A-dam, and he took one of his ribs and clo-sed up the flesh in-stead there-of. 25. And the rib which the LORD God had taken from man made he a wo-man, and he brought her un-to the man. 26. And the name of the man was A-DAM, and that of the wo-man EVE; and she was the moth-er of all liv-ing. LESSON VII. THE FALL OF MAN. 27.
