young. 12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and measured heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in 10 a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance ? 13 Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being 11 his counselor hath taught him?

14 With whom took he counsel, and who 12 instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and showed to him the way of 13 understanding?

15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.

16 And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts of it sufficient for a burnt-offering.

17 All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity. 18 T To whom then will ye God? or what likeness will ye compare to him?

1 God expostulateth with his people about his mercies to the church, 10 about his promises, 21 and about the vanity of idols.

KEEP silence before me, wishes;

and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment.

2 Who raised up 1 the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? he gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow.

3 He pursued them, and passed 2 safely; even by the way that he had not gone with his feet.
