3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

rished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood, after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

16 And the earth helped the woman; and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. CHAP. XIII.

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8 And prevailed not; neither vas their place found any more in

heaven.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Deil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into he earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 And I heard a loud voice sayng in heaven, Now is come salvaion, and strength, and the kinglom of our God, and the power of is Christ: for the accuser of our rethren is cast down which accued them before our God day and light.

11 And they overcame him by he blood of the Lamb, and by the vord of their testimony; and they oved not their lives unto the leath.

12 Therefore rejoice, we heavens, ind ye that dwell in them. Wo to he inhabiters of the earth, and of he sea! for the devil is come down into you, having great wrath, beause he knoweth that he hath out a short time.

13 And when the dragon saw hat he was cast unto the earth,

2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and, power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed."

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fant before the throne of God.

6 And I saw another angel fr in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach usta them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come and worship him that made heaves and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, became she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her formes tion.

9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, U any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

The Lamb and his Company.

AND I looked, and loa Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him a hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn it song, but the hundred and 244

18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it nto the great wine-press of the wrath of God.

20 And the wine-press was trodlen without the city, and blood came out of the wine-press, even unto the horse-bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furongs.

The seven last Plagues.

AND I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last! plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

2 And I saw as it were a sea of lass mingled with fire; and them hat had gotten the victory over he beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the numper of his name, stand on the sea of lass, having the harps of God.

3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and rue are thy ways, thou King of saints.

4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for hou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before hee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

5 And after that I looked, and Behold, the temple of the tabernale of the testimony in heaven was opened:

6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white inen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.

Of the Vials full of Wrath. AND I heard a great voice ont of the temple, saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man; and every living soul died in the sea.

4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters: and they became blood,

5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.

6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.

7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.

8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.

9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues; and they repented not to give him glory.

10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,

11 And blasphemed the God of heaven, because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

13 And I saw three unclean 7 And one of the four beasts spirits like frogs come out of the gave unto the seven angels seven mouth of the dragon, and out of golden vials full of the wrath of the mouth of the beast, and ont God, who liveth for ever and ever, the mouth of the false prophet. 8 And the temple was filled 14 For they are the spiri with smoke from the glory of devils, working miracles, whic

15 Behold, I come as a thief, Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

16 And be gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

7 And the angel said unto me. Wherefore didst thou marvel! will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that car rieth her, which hath the seven heads, and ten horns.

17 And the seventh angel poured 8 The beast that thou KIVIS out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the tem- was, and is not; and shall sconc ple of heaven, from the throne, say-out of the bottomless pit, and g ing. It is done.

13 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. 20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great. 2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarletcoloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet-colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

10 And there are seven king five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continge a short space.

11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into per dition.

Babylon's Destruction.

AND after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Babylon's fall.

4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues,

5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

16 And saying, Alas, alas! that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!

17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every ship-master, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,

18 And cried when they saw the 6 Reward her even as she re-smoke of her burning, saying, warded you, and double unto her What city is like unto this great double according to her works: in city! the cup which she hath filled, fill to her double.

7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and nourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: For strong is the Lord God who udgeth her.

9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, hall bewail her, and lament for er, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas! hat great great city Babylon,, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy udgment come.

11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over aer; for no man buyeth their merhandise any more:

12 The merchandise of gold, and ilver, and precious stones, and of earls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine vood, and all manner vessels of vory, and all manner vessels of nost precious wood, and of brass, nd iron, and marble,

19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas! that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and we holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.

21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great mill-stone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all."

22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a mill-stone shall be heard no more at all in thee;

23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at ali in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of sain and of all that were slain upon learth.
