SCREENS A and B.

These screens contain an important collection of Portraits of celebrated men, con tributed by Mr. Lake Price, Mr. Herbert Watkins, Messrs. Marell and Polyblank, Mr. John Watkins, Messrs. Caldesi and Montecchi, Mr. Kilburn, Mr. Mayall, Mr. Claudet, and Mr. Loch-and some portraits of Crimean Heroes from the ranks, photographed for Her Majesty by Mr. Joseph Cundall.

WALL C.

The most important pictures on this wall are a large view of the Clock-tower of the Louvre, by M. Baldus-two fine pictures by Mr. Lake Price, one a study of still life, the other a reproduction of his well-known "Don Quixote." There are likewise some

excellent English landscapes, by Mr. H. White, Mr. Wilson of Aberdeen, Mr. Bullock, Mr. Fenton, and Mr. Bedford, and a few French views by M. Martens and M. Baldus, several good figure-subjects by Mr. Grundy, and Le Gray's celebrated sea and cloud pictures.

WALL D.

The centre pictures are a series of views, by Sir Joscelyn Coghill. Right and left are landscapes, by Mr. Llewelyn, Mr. B. B. Turner, and Mr. H. Leverett. Figure-subjects, by Mr. Lake Price and Mr. Grundy; and views of buildings, by Mr. Roger Fenton and Mr. Bedford. Beneath these are hung an important collection of views of Italian buildings, contributed by Prince Albert, and a few views of Oxford, by Mr. Delamotte.

WALL E.

The principal picture on this wall--a view of the Alps (upwards of six feet in length) -is contributed by Prince Albert, who also sends a very fine collection of fac-similes of the Raffaelle drawings in the Royal Library-photographed by Mr. C. Thurston ThompMr. Delamotte's large view of the Crystal Palace, Mr. Henry Taylor's studies from

nature, Mr. H. White's landscapes, Messrs. Caldesi and Montecchi's instantaneous portraits of animals, Mr. Bullock's views of Rydal Water, and some of Mr. Lake Price's life studies, and Mr. Goodman's large costumed figures, help to fill the rest of the space on this wall.

WALL F.

Several fine French pictures, by Messrs. Bisson frères, and M. Baldus, are the more important contributions to this space. Mr. Roger Fenton, Mr. Llewelyn, Mr. F. Bedford, Mr. Bullock, and Mr. Ponting, are represented by a collection of English landscapes. Mr. C. Thurston Thompson is here again a contributor, and sends a wonderful series of copies of the Raffaelle drawings in the Louvre.

SCREEN G.

Contains a collection of copies of oil and water colour paintings, by Mr. Robert Howlett, a few cartoons by Ary Scheffer, contributed by Mr. W. Agnew, some copies of engravings, by Mr. Verschoyle, Major Penrice, &c., &c.
