FIVE POINTS or RESGLUTIONS Which may be formed with much spiritual profit, either

before or ufter hearing Muss.

I detest, and abhor, all and every one of the sins í have ever committed, or that have been committed by others from the beginning of the world to the present lour, or that may be hereafter committed to the end thereof; and would, with the grace of God, do mny utmost to prevent them, which I therefore humbly implore.

[ocr errors]

I extol and approve of all the good works that have been done from the beginning of the world, or that may be done hereafter to the consummation thereof: and would, with the help of God, multiply them, whose grace I most humbly implore.

I purpose henceforth to direct all my thoughts, words and actions, to the greater glory of God, in imion with all those good intentions which the saints have ever had now haver can possibly have hereafter.

IV. I pardon and forgive, from the bottom of my heart, all my enemies--all who calumniate or detract me all who would by any means injure me, or wish that evil would befal me.

V. O! that it were possible I could save all mankind by dying for each individual: this I would freely do by the help of the grace of God, which I therefore ear. nestly invoke, for without his grace, I can do nothing.
