34 I have seen, I have seen 16 the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt.

35 This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand" of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.

36 $He brought them out, after that he had *showed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the "wilderness 'forty years.

EXOD. iii. 10: Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.

EXOD. xiv. 19: And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them. do. xxiii. 20: Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. NUM. xx. 16: When we cried unto the LORD, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and hath brought us forth out of Egypt. Isa. lxiii. 9: In all their afflictions he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he pare them, and carried them all the days of old.

wilderness of Sin. And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan. ▾ NUM. xiv. 33: Your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness. do. xxxii. 13: The LORD's anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.

Acrs, iii. 22: For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. See on JOHN, vii. 40.

MAT. xvii. 5: While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

Xxxii. 1: When the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

& DEUT. ix. 16: And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you. Ps.cvi. 19, 20: They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image. Thus they changed cheir glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

JER. xix. 13: The houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven.

hAMOS, V. 25, 26: Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel? But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.

have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?

¡ EXOD. XXv. 40: Look that thou make them after their pattern, which was showed thee in the mount. do. xxvi. 30: And thou shalt rear up the tabernacle according to the fashion thereof which was showed thee in the mount. HEB. viii. 5: Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern showed to thee in the mount.

JOSHUA, iii. 14: It came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Jordan, and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people.
