If I Played My Life

Bayeux Arts, Incorporated, 1998 - 112 páginas
A poetic insight into lives and experiences seldom confronted, and demons they battle and vanquish. A groundbreaking collection. These poems often shine with a passion and intensity that is as startling as it is disturbing. They are a tribute to the editor and the creative talents of the contributors who joyfully participated in this project under the aegis of the Calgary Chapter of the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta.

Acerca del autor (1998)

Kate Goldsmith, who edited this riveting collection of poems always shared a passion for poetry and for helping others. In late 1997, while still an undergraduate student at the University of Calgary, she approached the Publisher of Bayeux Arts to take a look at a bunch of poems she had collected. These were poems written by a group of schizophrenics she was helping to write poetry for self-expression under the aegis of the Alberta Schizophrenia Society, Calgary. The poems are startling in their originality and are a tribute to the critical judgement of a young editor.
