Depressed? Full of anxieties? Do you think the damaging messages you are giving to yourself and the damaging messages you have internalized from others could be THE REASON? Having difficult relationships? Are the messages you are giving to others bringing damage into their lives? Is there a better way to "say things?" For years, Dr. Helen McIntosh has talked to thousands of children and adults - and adults about their children - who are struggling with on-going depression and anxiety and are having difficulties in their relationships. Damaging messages create both internal and relational problems. She has developed and utilized some simple methods to help adults yield healthy and lasting life changes from the "inside out" for themselves and their children. Dr. Helen B. McIntosh, wife, mother, grandmother, speaker, author, and inventor of The Peace Rug has a passion for helping kids and adults with restoration. Her newly-released children's book is entitled, Eric, Jose & The Peace Rug. A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified in Reality Therapist (RTC), she has spent over 18 years in public education, 12 of which were as school counselor at Roan School in Dalton, Georgia. She has a B.A. degree in Psychology from Hollins College in Virginia; a Master's degree in Guidance & Counseling from West Georgia College; a Specialist degree in Guidance & Counseling from the State University of West Georgia; and a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Sarasota. She lives in Dalton, Georgia with her family.
